Red Wolf Mac Tíre (M2274)

Mac Tíre arrived at the Wolf Conservation Center from the Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium (WA) in December 2023. He was born at PDZA on May 3, 2018 and has two sisters. 

Mac Tíre was named by the Hayes family, generous supporters of the WCC. The name is a common Irish phrase for “wolf” and is pronounced “mok cheer-a.” We’ll most likely call him mac for short - it’s a strong name for a strong wolf!
